Leeds United had one of the most exciting attacking units in their promotion campaign. But the team looked much different when they made their way up to the Premier League.
An attack of Manor Solomon, Dan James, Brenden Aaronson and Joel Piroe scored over 80 goals in 2024/25.
When Leeds were promoted, there were concerns around the club that those players could repeat what they did in the Championship. That summer window saw a revamp of the attack.
In came Noah Okafor, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
The trio finished as the top three scorers for the Whites last season, with Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin combining for over 20 goals.
They did all this with Piroe as a benchwarmer and Brenden Aaronson playing in midfield.
Leeds United loan hero wants summer transfer
Manor Solomon was on loan for the 2024/25 season and scored 10 goals, including the crucial one on the final day to win the league title.
Leeds United pushed to sign him on loan that summer, but ultimately turned down a move to sign the winger.
Solomon ended up on loan with Villarreal in Spain where he only managed 11 games in the first half of the season. His loan was cancelled, and he joined Firentina for the second half of the campaign.
He finished the season with two goals for the Italian side.
The winger’s future at Spurs is now clear, with the club willing to offload him this summer. Solomon himself is also keen on leaving the Premier League club permanently. According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are interested in a move.
The Hammers want a winger to replace former Leeds man Crysencio Summerville who moved to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.

Club could use a player like Manor Solomon this summer
Solomon will no doubts be assessing his options after being given the green light to leave.
Despite his poor campaign last season, he could still be very useful to a lot of clubs. And that includes Leeds United, who sorely lacked quality out wide throughout this past year.
Dan James was always out injured, and Wilfried Gnonto never hit the heights expected of him.
Manor Solomon had 22 goal contributions in his sole campaign with the Whites. And he even mentioned that Daniel Farke played a key part in convincing him to move.
If Farke wants a player to add to this attack, maybe the 27-year old Spurs star is not a bad option.
