Leeds United remain committed to signing one more centre-back following the arrival of Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo last week.
Muharemovic became the second most expensive signing in Leeds United’s history when he joined the club on Friday for a deal worth up to £34m.
He will solve a major headache for Daniel Farke by replacing Pascal Struijk in the team next season. The Dutchman left Leeds earlier in the window for Brighton.
However, Leeds are stepping up efforts to sign one more centre-back as they expect to lose Sebastiaan Bornauw, who is keen to return to Germany this summer.

The Whites have been linked with several centre-backs as the club continue to weigh up their options for that second defender signing this summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi has emerged as one of their top targets. Leeds are also considering a move for Udinese’s Oumar Solet in the ongoing window.
According to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, Leeds have their eyes on former Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori this summer.
The England international has been a major player for AC Milan in the last few years, and even recently played for the Three Lions ahead of the World Cup.
However, his future at AC Milan looks all but over, with new manager Ruben Amorim making it clear that he is not part of his plans at San Siro.
Tomori has been asked to find a new club, and he has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Leeds have their eyes on the Premier League-experienced defender. However, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are also interested in him.
Al-Hilal are also interested in Tomori, and he is more likely to return to England this summer.
Fikayo Tomori would be a major upgrade for Leeds United
Tomori made 33 appearances, including 31 starts, in Serie A last season for AC Milan, and was a major player for the Rossonerri.
He even featured for Thomas Tuchel’s England ahead of the World Cup and barely missed out on making the final squad.
However, Amorim is ready to sanction his departure this summer, and there is no reason that Leeds should not pounce on him this summer.
He is an international centre-back with Premier League experience and will add real steel and quality to the team alongside Muharemovic next season.
Tomori is still only 28, and would likely prefer a return to the Premier League rather than move to Saudi Arabia.
It is unclear whether Leeds can afford him. However, the club are in the mix for another high-level defensive addition.
