Gabriel Agbonlahor slams Leeds fan on air over Daniel Farke criticism: “Moaning about what?”

Daniel Farke saw his Leeds United side batter Wolves 3-0 at Elland Road on Saturday to move eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Goals from James Justin, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin meant Leeds backed up the win at Old Trafford last week with another three points at home this weekend.

Karl Darlow was at his best to deny Wolves any way back into the game, and there was a sense of celebration at Elland Road following the final whistle.

However, Leeds and Farke are yet to please everyone in the Leeds fan base, and Gabriel Agbonlahor has hammered one such Leeds supporter live on air after the result.

The former striker takes on a Leeds fan moaning about Daniel Farke

A Leeds fan called into talkSPORT and started moaning about the performance from the home team against Wolves on Saturday.

He called the second half performance from Leeds ‘dreadful’ and hammered Daniel Farke for being too stubborn.

Agbonlahor was having none of that and laid into the Whites fan for moaning about two great results that have put them on the cusp of Premier League safety.

He is unsure whether this Leeds fan actually watched the team play against Manchester United and Wolves and insists that he has no credibility to question Farke.

“You’ve just beaten Manchester United, big rivalry, not conceded at home [vs Wolves], won 3-0 with a Calvert-Lewin penalty at the end”, Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT.

“39 points, you’re going to be safe, you’re in an FA Cup semi-final, and you’re moaning about what?

“Did he not watch the Man United game? When they were ole’ing, it was that easy for them at times. The football they were playing was fantastic.

“Maybe he’s got his coaching badges.”

Leeds can feel safe now

Daniel Farke has made it clear he doesn’t want his Leeds side getting carried away, stressing that this hasn’t been a straightforward season. That said, they’re in a far more comfortable spot now.

They’re back in Premier League action on Wednesday night against Bournemouth, before turning their attention to an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea next Sunday.

Farke may be urging caution, but there’s a growing sense that Leeds can be quietly confident about staying up.
