Leeds United are set to announce the signing of Harry Wilson soon. The club have been chasing the signature of the midfielder for some time.
Last year, when the Whites were set to return to the Premier League, they needed to build a team.
Leeds spent over £100 million on player transfers that summer. They were able to recruit solid first team starters like Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Anton Stach.
Daniel Farke was after a creative option in midfield in that window.
The club targeted players like Bilal El Khannouss and Facundo Buonanotte. Leeds had a deadline day bid rejected for Harry Wilson, with Fulham reportedly pulling the plug at the last minute.
Details emerged about Harry Wilson’s Leeds United contract
Harry Wilson reportedly agreed a deal to sign with Leeds United over a week ago.
But days went by since the news, and the club had not unveiled him as a player. Graham Smyth spoke about how the official announcement was delayed this week for a different reason.
On Wednesday, James Marshment of TEAMtalk revealed that he was at Elland Road to complete his signing.
Now, details have emerged around the Wales international’s contract as he is set to join Leeds United. Per TEAMtalk, Wilson will sign a three-year deal with an option for an extra year.
The report suggests the midfielder will become one of the club’s top earners.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is believed to be Leeds’ highest paid player with wages around £90,000. Wilson is expected to earn significantly more than the £55,000 he earned at Fulham.

Wilson is a big signing for the 49ers
49ers have made the best of market opportunities over the years.
Fans may have concerns about the wages of Wilson, but it could be a similar situation to Calvert-Lewin. When the striker arrived, there was a lot of scepticism over if he could deliver.
He ended up being the club’s top scorer in all competitions.
This is what fans will expect from Harry Wilson when he arrives. He is a big name, and big signing for Leeds in recent years. The midfielder will have to deliver like he did last season.
The team desperately needs a player who can contribute goals and assists outside Calvert-Lewin.
Daniel Farke will also be happy with the club’s ambition, as they went out and beat the likes of Everton and Aston Villa for a top target.
