Leeds United have been handed a huge boost this week, concerning recent news about the club’s transfers. Fans have been waiting for something to happen, and they could get it soon.

Weeks after news emerged that Harry Wilson had agreed to join the club, he is now set to be unveiled.

The midfielder was supposed to be announced earlier, but it had to be moved back per information from Graham Smyth. In the coming hours, Wilson will officially be a Leeds player.

That transfer will definitely bring some joy to fans who have been waiting for this news.

Wilson will provide Daniel Farke with a very flexible option in this Leeds team. He can play in midfield and attack, and possesses a consistent record of output in his career.

Last season, he had 11 goals and eight assists for Fulham.

Leeds United still in race for World Cup star

Fans will be eagerly awaiting the next arrival at Elland Road.

They have already suffered some bad news as Pascal Struijk left the club last week. The defender was keen on a new challenge, and was unwilling to extend his deal this summer.

The Whites were able to get a decent transfer fee and will hopefully invest with it.

Zion Suzuki has been on Leeds’ radar over the last few months. His performances for Japan at the 2026 World Cup has attracted a lot of suitors.

Per reports, the Parma star had rejected a move to Elland Road as he evaluates his next steps.

Italian journalist Marco Conteiro has given the latest on Leeds’ pursuit of Suzuki. The report claims that even with the news of a rejection, the club are pushing to sign the 24-year old goalkeeper.

Parma are open to selling the Japanese international and have already lined up a replacement.

49ers are on the right track

Between the pursuit of Zion Suzuki, and the recent news about Derby keeper Jacob Zetterstrom being a target, there is optimism for Leeds.

Lucas Perri remains the only first team keeper under contract this summer.

However, things could change as Alex Cairns and Karl Darlow have offers on the table. Cairns has reportedly verbally agreed to a move, while there is no news on the Darlow situation.

Getting a new keeper through the door seems to be the priority for the 49ers and it is the right decision on their part.
