With just weeks to the start of the season, Leeds United do not seem to be done with their transfer business. The club have signed seven new players in this window.
Daniel Farke’s side have had a decent start to pre season. The team held Manchester United to a draw and beat SC Verl and Padeborn in behind closed door games. Leeds reportedly have a few more targets before they wrap up their summer spending. Daniel Farke has tasked the club with continuing the good work they have done with recruitment:
“I want to be competitive in the Premier League level. We are on a good path.”
“I will make sure that we go with the group into the Premier League season where we have a chance at least also of survival. We know how difficult it is. And you have a look on the last seasons and how much teams have spent in order to be competitive, and they were struggling and sometimes some of them were already relegated in February and March.
“We need to stay with foot on the gas. Yes, we are a good path, but not there yet. We have to keep going.”

Calvert-Lewin to Leeds United update

It was reported early this month that Leeds had held talks with some free agents over potential moves. Callum Wilson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were among the names mentioned. Wilson has chosen to sign for West Ham.
And according to the latest information, Calvert-Lewin has turned down Leeds. Alan Brazil and Alex Crook discussed what they had heard about the situation on Talksport:
Crook said: “I was told that Calvert-Lewin is looking for 150k a week. Which is why he held talks with Leeds and they backed off.
Brazil responded: “No. 150k a week?”
Newcastle interest in Rodrigo Muniz
There have been reports that the Magpies have directed their interest to Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz.
Newcastle are expected to lose Alexander Isak, and have shortlisted the Brazilian. Leeds are also keen on a move for the 24-year old and could revive their interest near the end of the window.
Calvert-Lewin is not worth £150,000-a-week
The striker is injury prone and aging. He has managed to play more than 30 Premier League games a season once since 2021.
If Leeds fans have been frustrated with seeing Patrick Bamford often injured and being the highest paid player at Elland Road, then they would hate to repeat that with Calvert-Lewin.
He’s not worth £50k per week let alone £150K. I guess now the end of the window is getting close there will be more ridiculous posts like this making their way online. Struggling for decent news guys?
