Leeds United were denied a huge win at Elland Road on Saturday. The Whites will be frustrated about the result as they had a foothold in the game for most of the 90 minutes.
Just like in the loss to Fulham, Leeds dominated proceedings and should have scored more to increase the scoreline. But unfortunately the attackers are still failing to put the ball in the back of the net.
Daniel Farke’s side now sit in mid table with eight points from six games so far this season.

Bournemouth’s Eli Kroupi was on hand to hit home a 93rd-minute equaliser on Saturday. It came from a late free kick, where Leeds failed to deal with the initial ball into the box. Daniel Farke would have been furious at the incident, as two players were left completely free at the back post when Kroupi volleyed it home.
Graham Smyth questioned Daniel Farke’s decision to make late substitutions. In his opinion, the changes could have been made much earlier, which Smyth thinks would have prevented the goal.
“We didn’t really manage to get into the substitutions.” he said on The Square Ball podcast.
“Do you want Jaka Bijol in the penalty box in the 93rd/94th minute heading everything away? Do you want Daniel James on the pitch so you have an outlet, just someone to hare away?”
Leeds made three changes in the second half: Jack Harrison came on in the 67th minute, Ao Tanaka was subbed on in the 87th minute and Lukas Nmecha was the final substitute in the 90th minute.
Leeds United star takes responsibility
Joe Rodon took responsibility for the late goal, saying that he has himself to blame.
“As an individual and defender, I look at myself first.
“Could I have adjusted the line? Could we be higher from the free kick? And when we’re in possession, could we not give it away and be more clever and smart in the dying moments of the game?”
The defender has been almost flawless this season, and his performances at the back have earned a lot of plaudits. The duo of Struijk and Rodon have been good enough to keep summer signing Jaka Bijol out of the lineup.
