Leeds United managed to sign Melvin Bard and Jean-Matteo Bahoya on deadline day. Both players have been officially unveiled ahead of this weekend’s game.
But as always with transfers, registering them in time to play the next game can be an issue.
Brentford were not able to register Malick Diouf in time to play when they faced Leeds last weekend.
Deadline day was a particularly busy one for the 49ers, as they left it late when bringing in a replacement for Wilfried Gnonto. After Mykhailo Mudryk chose Spurs, the Whites had to come up with a new target.
They signed Bahoya on a season-long loan, with the transfer being announced after the deadline had passed.

The Frenchman was officially unveiled on Thursday as he did his interview and media duties.
Melvin Bard has also done his interview since arriving at Elland Road. The defender was able to complete his formalities earlier due to how late Bahoya’s deal was completed.
Daniel Farke spoke about the two signings in Thursday’s press conference.
”Good players. Melvin experienced at really good level, many games in Ligue 1. Left-back/wing back cover we needed, very good age.”
”Early doors because only two training sessions.”
”Jean-Matteo young prospect, very great character, very quick with lots of potential. Very young so in a different role compared to senior experienced Melvin. Pleased both of them are with us right now.”
The Leeds boss then confirmed that both players are eligible to be involved on Saturday.
”Yes they are eligible to play, they train with us and depending on what happens in the next days, of course there is a chance for them to be in the travelling squad.”

Leeds could have done more in transfer window
Leeds United are believed to be pleased with the business done this summer. Beren Cross delivered an update that said the club’s sources say there are no concerns about the squad.
Farke has also said he is happy with the signings.
But there is some concern; the depth is lacking at centre back and in attack – especially the lack of a striker.
There are only four natural centre backs for a team that often plays in a back three, and Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are the only senior strikers in the team.
If the club had added at least one more attacking player to cover the departure of Piroe, it would have been a much better window.
