A few weeks ago, reports emerged that sources behind the scenes at Leeds United are working on summer plans. The team is listing potential transfer targets ahead of the summer window.
Daniel Farke publicly made it known about his ambition heading into next season. He went on a long rant after being asked about his future at Elland Road in a recent press conference.
The 2020 season was referenced as he pointed out that the club should not make the same mistake. When Marcelo Bielsa guided the Whites back to the top flight, he managed to keep them up.
Leeds failed to add quality to the squad which lead to their slump, and they were eventually relegated years later.
Leeds United transfer target opens up on Elland Road links
This has placed a lot of emphasis on what will happen at the end of the season. The most important things will be resolving current contract issues of the players and staff in the team.
Daniel Farke’s contract talks will take place, and the club also has to consider the future of Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk who are entering the final year of their deals.
Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk has recently been linked with a move to Leeds United. The 27-year old Ukrainian goalkeeper kept 18 clean sheets in 33 appearances this season.
However, with the latest update from Konkurent and journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky, Riznyk is not in talks over a transfer.
Per the report, the keeper indicated that he is unaware about interest from the Premier League side and only found out about the links recently.
In Riznyk’s words, he said he has ‘no information’ about a potential move.

49ers need to sort out the goalkeeping situation
In the coming months, the Whites will have three goalkeepers out of contract. Karl Darlow, Alex Cairns and Illan Meslier all have their deals expiring next month.
Daniel Farke has also said Darlow’s future could be resolved at the end of the season. When it comes to Cairns and Meslier, it looks increasingly likely that both players will leave the club.
Having Lucas Perri as the only first team option going into next season is not ideal, which means the club have to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Leeds need a keeper good enough to be first choice regardless of if Darlow leaves, and that is going to be difficult looking at the current market.
