Leeds United dented Tottenham’s survival hopes last week when they held them to a draw at home. Now the London club are in trouble heading into the final day of the season.
After their safety was secured, many though Daniel Farke’s side would relax heading into the game against Spurs. However, they fought well and stole a point on the road.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are just two points above the Hammers after losing to Chelsea midweek. Which means that the battle between both teams could be decided on the final day of the season.
West Ham face Leeds United, while Tottenham take on Everton.
Simon Jordan responds to Danny Murphy’s Leeds United claim
Many feel like the Hammers have the easier game out of the two relegation rivals. Spurs on the other hand, have to try and get a result against the Toffees who still hold a slight hope at making a European place.
Danny Murphy said on Match of the Day that because of West Ham’s position, they will be under less pressure to perform than Spurs. He also thinks Nuno Espirito Santo’s men can get a result because of that.
Simon Jordan has a different opinion on that; he said on talkSPORT that West Ham are a poor team and they stand little to no chance of beating Leeds United.
“I am not sure, having seen West Ham against Newcastle and how poor they were.
“Despite their resurgence, they were unlucky against Arsenal. I think West Ham won’t beat Leeds.”

Leeds will go for the win on Sunday
Daniel Farke and his side wrapped up proceedings at their home ground on Sunday, giving the fans a great performance and a win. They managed this against Brighton, who have slipped up in their pursuit of Europe.
So there is no way somebody can claim that Leeds will let their foot off the gas when they face West Ham. Nuno’s side are in horrible form and have lost their last three games in a row.
But in front of their home fans on Sunday, they will put up a fight as they know a win could all but take them to safety. The Whites will also play to win, in order to finish their season with the maximum amount of points and to give the travelling fans something to cheer about.
