The 49ers can start drawing up their transfer plans after Leeds United secured their place in the Premier League over the weekend. West Ham losing to Arsenal means that the Whites are mathematically safe from relegation.

Monday night saw Leeds face Spurs, who themselves were on the brink of going down. Before the game, many pundits said the Whites would take their foot off the gas and the home side would get an easy win, but it was far from that. Daniel Farke’s men came from a goal down to pick up a precious point. With two games to go, the team can finish higher up the table if they pick up maximum points.

Leeds United eye 10-goal Premier League striker

A report emerged from club sources over a week ago, saying that Leeds United were preparing their shortlist for this upcoming window. The club have seen the positive impact made with the recruitment from last summer, and would like to build on that. Multiple links have emerged over the last couple of weeks, but there has been no official business yet.

According to Football Insider, Burnley striker Zian Flemming has popped up on Leeds United’s radar this season. The report adds that the Whites have sent scouts to watch the 27-year old this season and have been impressed with what they have seen. The Dutchman has scored 10 goals in the league this season, starting just 19 games.

Leeds’ attack needs some depth

The 49ers did a great job bringing in Noah Okafor, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha this campaign. The trio have been the top goalscorers for the club this season, proving why they were good decisions by the recruitment team. But outside those three, the numbers have been very underwhelming – the other options at the club have been poor.

Dan James has barely been able to string games together, Daniel Farke seems not to like Wilfried Gnonto, and Joel Piroe has been ineffective any time he has seen some action on the pitch. So adding another player could be a huge boost; Flemming is a solid option and will come for an affordable fee, considering Burnley have just been relegated. He would bring depth to the center forward position, and his ability to play just behind the striker will be a huge asset for Daniel Farke going forward.
