Leeds United are already putting plans in place for next season despite not having secured their Premier League status. The club could reportedly see increased revenue at the end of this financial year.
Which could open the doors for more funds for transfer deals. The 49ers could dip into the market for a new striker, as the club have been concerned with his lack of goals since January. A new center forward who can compete with the England striker is high on the list. Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha have taken a huge load of the goalscoring this season, and the club could use more quality in attack.
And with up to three goalkeepers out of contract in the coming months, Leeds could be pushed to sign a new goalkeeper. Karl Darlow has been linked with a move away from Elland Road at the end of the season. The Whites are also monitoring some goalkeepers ahead of this summer including Manchester City star James Trafford.
Leeds United and Everton keen on free agent
There are other areas of the squad which could need improvements heading into the upcoming campaign. But a lot of that would depend on where they finish in the Premier League in the coming months.
Per TEAMtalk, Leeds United and Everton are keeping an eye on Matt Targett ahead of the summer. The left back, who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough has had a fantastic season in the Championship. This could push his current side to bring him in on a permanent deal, but this summer window will decide where he ends up as he will be a free agent with his contract at Newcastle set to expire.

Whites badly need backup for Gabriel Gudmundsson
Gabriel Gudmundsson has become one of the most important players for Leeds United this season. When Junior Firpo left the club on a free transfer, there were concerns on who could replace him. Since the Swedish international arrived, he has been a solid addition to the team – solid defensively, with very good technical ability. Leeds have struggled down the left in the rare games he has missed out on due to injury. The club can now find another natural left footer in his place by adding Matt Targett on a free transfer this summer. Daniel Farke has lacked serious depth this campaign, and the 49ers can improve on that in the coming months.
