Leeds United return to league action on Monday night as they face Newcastle. And fortunately for the home side, the Magpies are facing injury problems ahead of the game.
The game at Elland Road provides an opportunity for both sides to continue their strong start to the season.
Leeds and Newcastle are unbeaten in the Premier League, with very similar results at the start of this new campaign. The Whites have picked up impressive results against Brighton and Brentford.
Matthias Jaissle has also guided his team to beat Spurs, and draw with Liverpool and Bournemouth in the first three games.
Monday night will be the Whites’ second game at Elland Road this season; the last match ended in a draw with Brentford.
Newcastle trio ruled out of Leeds United game

The last time Leeds United and Newcastle met ended in a seven-goal thriller at St. James’ Park. The Magpies came from two goals down, scoring two late goals to win 4-3.
But their last meeting at Elland Road ended in a goalless draw.
Matthias Jaissle will be unfortunate to be without a few players ahead of their game on the road. Premier Injuries list Joelinton, William Osula and Dan Burn as unavailable for the Leeds game.
Ewen Jaouen and Amar Dedic are in contention to feature in the game, with their condition listed as ‘late fitness test’.
There is no word on Tino Livramento being available; the England star played 45 minutes against Millwall last week after making his return to the team against Bournemouth in the previous game.
Things are falling into place for Monday night
Everything is set for Daniel Farke’s side to get a result on Monday night.
Leeds are back in front of their home crowd for only the second game this season. The Whites’ home form has been impeccable for most of the year; they have lost just one game since March.
And with Newcastle’s injury problems prior to the game, Farke’s side could have a slight advantage.
The home side will only be without Joe Rodon and Ilia Gruev, but they will have almost every player available to play on Monday night.
Fans at Elland Road will be hoping the team can bounce back following their humiliating defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the League Cup last week.
