Leeds United are unbeaten in the Premier League after three games and are set to host Newcastle United at Elland Road under the lights later tonight.
The Whites have conceded just two goals in their opening three Premier League games, and their defence is seen as one of the reasons why they will steer clear of the relegation dogfight this year.
However, scoring goals has been an issue as they have scored just three times in the league and need to get more clinical in the final third to score more.
They will be facing a very different Newcastle side under new manager Matthias Jaissle, who has added new energy and vigour to a team that were looking stale toward the end of last season under Eddie Howe.

The Magpies have a good record against Leeds in recent years, and the new manager is looking forward to a special night at Elland Road later today.
He has admitted that he has heard a lot about the famous Elland Road atmosphere, and compared it to the cauldron his Newcastle side faced at The Den against Millwall in the EFL Cup already this season.
The new Newcastle manager wants his players to enjoy the atmosphere and match the intensity and energy of the Leeds team to get a positive result tonight.
“It will be special”, Jaissle said in a press conference.
“I’ve heard many things already about that [Elland Road]. Definitely, we need to be aware of it, like we were aware of it when we played at The Den in Millwall; it was also a crazy atmosphere down there, and it will be the same in Leeds.
“But if you can face that, if you can match that, also emotionally, intrinsically, from our players… we have the support as well, also an away match from our fans, then we can have a good result.”
Leeds United’s recent record against Newcastle is poor
Alan Shearer has predicted Newcastle to win all three points at Leeds, but he is not completely crazy in making that suggestion ahead of tonight.
Leeds should back themselves to get a good result at home, but their recent record against Newcastle in the Premier League is not a good one.
Newcastle have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent years, going unbeaten in their last six Premier League encounters with Leeds. The Whites’ last league victory over the Magpies came back in January 2021, giving them another chance tonight to put an end to that frustrating run.
Newcastle have also enjoyed a slight advantage in attack during that period, finding the net eight times compared with Leeds’ six.
