With Leeds United all but safe in the Premier League, attention is already turning to the summer transfer window and the club’s plans to improve the squad.

There have been warnings about not becoming complacent, with many pointing out that the second season is often tougher and will require serious investment.

Plans are already in place to strengthen key areas of the squad, and work has begun on identifying and pursuing targets before the season even ends.

The Whites have an opportunity to move quickly and raid the relegated clubs, and the club are already lining up a potential double deal ahead of the summer transfer window.

Leeds United plot double raid on Wolves

Leeds are aware that they need to pick up some bargain deals in the summer to ensure they can spend big on certain top targets in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Leeds are now plotting to make a move for the Wolves pair of Santiago Bueno and Ladislav Krejci in the coming months.

With Wolves set to get relegated, there is expected to be an exodus from Molineux in the summer, and Bueno and Krejci are likely to leave in the coming months.

Several other Premier League clubs are interested in the pair, but Leeds are hoping to steal a march on others by making an early move.

Wolves have also held talks with Krejci’s agent ahead of the summer and are working on a potential deal ahead of next season.

Whether Leeds decide to sign both centre-backs remains to be seen. However, they are clearly lining up potential deals for the Wolves pair.

They would need defender sales

Leeds’ interest in the Wolves pair, coupled with their continued willingness to make a move for Union Berlin defender Danilho Doekhi, shows that they want to bring in a centre-back.

However, Leeds are already well-stocked in centre-backs, and will need to sell one or two players before they can look to bring in fresh defensive reinforcements.

Sebastiaan Bornauw may leave to play more football. However, there are claims that Leeds could even listen to offers for Joe Rodon in the summer.

The Welshman recently returned to the line-up after recovering from a fresh injury. However, he seemed to have dropped down the pecking order at Elland Road.

If Leeds want proper money from the sale of a defender, Rodon looks like the candidate who they would likely cash in on in the summer.

We would need more than ‘defender sales’! So far the budget for the Wolves players you guys at Leeds Press seem to think we are buying comes to over £100 million, and we need to spend the same again on a goalkeeper, striker and someone with a natural left foot. Where is the money coming from???
