Leeds United have a long list of performers that have made this season a successful one. The Whites secured another campaign in the top flight following the results of last weekend.

And they could not have done it if the club had not recruited well last summer. At the end of the summer window, many fans complained about the lack of depth and quality, criticizing the 49ers. But as the season went on, the new signings proved their worth, with some having had incredible impacts on the season as a whole. Daniel Farke also deserves a lot of credit for pulling this team together to get them to navigate their relegation escape.

Jaka Bijol and Gabriel Gudmundsson have been rocks at the back, while Anton Stach has been pivotal in midfield. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor were the standouts in the Leeds United attack this year.

Leeds United star up for PFA award

Leeds fans can point to a lot of players who have had very successful seasons; Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dominic Calvert-Lewin can all be pointed to as some of the best performers this campaign.

But when Leeds United needed someone to be pivotal in their recent unbeaten run, it was Noah Okafor that stood out. When the Whites returned from the international break, the winger was finally fit enough to start in the team after a long injury absence. He delivered, as he scored three goals and had an assist in the three Premier League games in April.

Okafor has been nominated for PFA Player of the Month for April. He will compete for the award alongside Jarrod Bowen, Bruno Fernandes, Rayan Cherki, Casemiro and Morgan Gibbs-White.

Noah Okafor has been money well spent this season

When Okafor arrived at the club, there was a bit of scepticism. His price tag was very high, so the expectations followed. After a slow start to the season, many criticized the signing and he had to spend some time on the bench. But after impressing in training, Farke let him off the leash and he has impressed since the start of the year. He showed up when the team needed him in the FA Cup, and his recent run showed that he has a lot of quality, and will be counted on going into next season. The 49ers ultimately made the right choice brining in the Swiss international.
