Transfer talks continue as Chelsea reject initial Leeds United bid

Leeds United sources shut down any talk of interest in Chelsea striker Liam Delap. He has been a name that has come up more than once in this transfer window.

This week seems to be the 49ers moving on to other targets after wrapping up the Nico Elvedi move.

Leeds have reportedly made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt over goalkeeper Michael Zetterer. If completed, the 31-year old would arrive at Elland Road to be backup to James Trafford.

Outside a backup goalkeeper, the White are running the rule over attacking signings.

Adam Pope revealed that the 49ers have lined up multiple wingers as Leeds try to add one more addition ahead of the deadline.

Leeds United loan bid for Chelsea star rejected

The latest target in attack is not Liam Delap, but rather his teammate Mykhailo Mudrik.

News emerged on Friday that Leeds United were interested in bringing the Ukraine international on a season long loan.

And things have accelerated quickly, with Sky Sports’ Zinny Boswell reporting that the Whites’ first offer for the 25-year old winger has been turned down. Both parties are in talks over the move.

It is unlikely this will be the last offer the 49ers bring to the table as they eye a key attacking addition.

Mudryk returned to competitive football following his doping ban. He has been training with Chelsea in pre-season but has not been involved in first team training recently.

Blues boss Xabi Alonso has revealed that the club are in no hurry to decide the winger’s future.

Elland Road might be the ideal destination for Mudryk

The Chelsea man has been out of action for over a year; he came in as a highly rated prospect from Ukraine.

Mudryk’s time in London has not really hit the ground running, but he is young and still has time.

A potential loan move to Elland Road could be just what gets him up and running again. In their promotion campaign, Leeds signed Manor Solomon on a season-long loan.

The winger had a bad injury which side-lined him and could not get playing time at Spurs.

His loan spell at Elland Road was memorable, and he scored the winning goal on the final day of the season. Mudryk can draw inspiration from the signing of a recent Leeds loanee if he does decide to move.
