Much has been said about Leeds United and their approach for this upcoming summer window. Club chairman Paraag Marathe has spoken about what could happen in the coming months.

He affirmed the 49ers’ commitment to investing in the team on and off the pitch, adding that the club will be logical about player transfers. The Leeds chief warned that the club will not chase players that would not fit their plans.

“We have to do a very thoughtful job in recruitment. I think we were probably a little bit fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants that time where we chase the shiny object of what player might be available and let’s go do that, not necessarily thinking about what fits us.”

TEAMtalk revealed this week that the Whites could be planning to sign up to five new players in the upcoming window.

It is clear that Leeds need to improve the quality in their team heading into next season. So fans should expect some major changes going forward.

Major Crysencio Summerville update emerges for Leeds United

Over a week ago, Crysencio Summerville was linked with a shock return to Leeds United. The report made it clear that the club had not made a decision, but were considering the process.

West Ham have been relegated, and could be forced to sell some of their prized assets ahead of their next season.

The Athletic has revealed that the Hammers plan to sell the Dutch winger. It is added that the London club will fight to keep their two best stars Jarrod Bowen and Matheus Fernandes.

But Summerville will be one they expect to leave; Aston Villa have been credited with interest in the winger.

Will Leeds re-sign Summerville?

Based on what Paraag Marathe has said this week, fans cannot rule out a return for the former Leeds United star.

If the price is right, he will definitely be someone the club will look at. Seeing how the wide options outside Noah Okafor struggled last season, Leeds will need some depth in attack.

He will fit this side under Daniel Farke, having already worked under him. So many factors to this deal fall in place, making this a path the Whites should consider.

But there is also interest from other sides in the Premier League and Europe.

The thought of coming back to play at Elland Road would be a huge factor too.
