Supercomputer makes bizarre Tottenham vs Leeds claim ahead of clash

Leeds United are virtually safe now after reaching 43 points with their win over Burnley on Friday, leaving them in a very strong position to stay in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke has been quick to play down any celebrations until it’s mathematically confirmed, though survival could be wrapped up even before their trip to Tottenham next Monday.

Still, that clash in north London could be crucial. A win for Spurs might be enough to secure their safety, but if Leeds get a result, it could drag Tottenham straight back into the relegation battle.

Leeds will back themselves to get a result in north London on Monday night. However, a Supercomputer prediction has made a bizarre claim ahead of the fixture.

Supercomputer makes baffling Tottenham vs Leeds prediction

Tottenham have picked up seven points from their last three league games, and have hit some form in their desperation to climb out of the relegation zone.

However, Leeds have looked better in terms of both results and performances in recent weeks and are on 43 points, virtually safe from relegation.

Opta has assessed both sides’ recent form and records, and somewhat surprisingly given Tottenham a much higher chance of winning than Leeds.

It has been claimed that Spurs have more than a 45 per cent chance of getting all three points on Monday night, while Leeds only have a less than 28 per cent chance of a victory.

Leeds are higher up the table than Tottenham and have looked a far more solid team in recent weeks.

Tottenham also have a horrible record at home and have won twice in the league there all season.

Their last two wins came on the road against Wolves and Aston Villa, respectively. Spurs have issued a desperate appeal to fans to turn the stadium into a cauldron for the Leeds game.

The Whites have revenge on their mind ahead of Monday night

Leeds United could already have their Premier League status confirmed by the time they travel to Tottenham on Monday, but Daniel Farke’s side will still have plenty of motivation.

Former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford has urged the Whites to ruin Tottenham’s season with a result next week.

They were beaten by Spurs at Elland Road earlier in the season in a match they probably felt they should have won, so there’s a sense of unfinished business going into the rematch.

West Ham will also be hoping Leeds can do them a favour by picking up a result in north London to boost their own survival chances.

At the same time, Roberto De Zerbi may be banking on Leeds taking their foot off the gas slightly if their safety is already confirmed before kick-off.
