Leeds United fans have seen the team show ambition this summer on and off the pitch. Splashing big money on James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic has worked out so far.

In five league games, the Whites are unbeaten and look a good bet to surprise many.

Leeds were not expected to emerge from their fixture schedule without a defeat considering that they played the likes of Forest, Brighton and Brentford.

Daniel Farke’s men sit in fifth place in the league during the international break. From the first game of the season, some believe the team can achieve more than the 14th place they managed last year.

Farke’s side have received a lot of favourable predictions from pundits and former players. And now, Rory Jennings is predicting that Leeds United will finish seventh in the Premier League this season.

”My seventh is Leeds United. I nearly put them higher.” he said on his YouTube channel.

”I think Leeds are incredible, I think the running of the club, I think that link with the San Francisco 49ers is massively working.”

”The institution is ready and Daniel Farke has become a Premier League manager. Sometimes you need the opportunity to become it.”

”Some players come up from the Championship as a centre forward, and now be a Premier League striker; some take it, some don’t – Daniel Farke is now a Premier League manager.”

”I think he has now proven that he is the man for the job.”

”I think signing James Trafford is a masterstroke.”

Whites could have a big advantage this season

In the video, Rory Jennings also points out that the fact that most of the top half are competing in Europe could be an advantage.

”A lot of this is coming down to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, [Leeds] having no European football so other teams who could take their place in football have European football and therefore could slip.”

This season sees nine teams in UEFA competitions, and all occupied 1st to 9th last year.

So half of them could still be deep in their competitions late into the season. Which means they will have to rotate when some games come around, giving the advantage to other clubs.

Leeds are in pole position to capitalize on all of this; they have the quality, they have the squad and they have the coach.
