Saturday afternoon left Leeds United fans with a lot of disappointment. They were on the verge of getting a result against Arsenal, but could not hold on in the end.
The Whites had a lot of confidence coming into the game, and they showed a lot of positive signs.
They kept Arsenal scoreless in the first half, which was a positive sign of things to come. Leeds took the lead when James Justin found himself in the box and had a very good finish.
Arsenal responded soon after with Calafiori finding himself unmarked to score.
A well-worked team goal by the Gunners, finished off by Bruno Guimaraes was enough for the reigning Champions to take all three points in front of their home crowd.

Leeds United really showed their quality in the game and were a real threat to Arsenal.
Bruno Guimaraes gave the away side a lot of credit as the Gunners fought hard to take all three points.
Ally McCoist, who was on TNT Sports, was surprised by how well Daniel Farke’s side played despite the defeat.
”It was a great game of football. Leeds were brilliant for one hour. Mikel Arteta made changes when he needed to and the substitutions gave Arsenal what they needed. That’s what champions do. Leeds can hold their heads high.”
This result is just the second time that the Whites have lost away from home in the Premier League since February.

Leeds need to close out games better
Losing to Arsenal is not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, they are the champions for a reason.
The manner in which the Whites dropped points however, is very poor. Conceding cheap goals and missing crucial chances to kill off games has haunted them for a while.
Just this season, they failed to get three points against Brighton because they could not convert their chances.
It is something that Farke and the players need to work on as the season progresses. The Leeds boss sometimes reacts to changes too late, which leaves his team on the back foot in crucial moments.
As for the lack of clinical finishing in the team, it has been clear since last year. If the club want to finish higher than 14th, they know what to do.
