With Leeds United all but safe in the Premier League ahead of the last three games of the season, attention is already turning to the summer transfer window.

There’s been a clear message not to get complacent, especially with the second season often proving more challenging and likely requiring serious investment.

Work is already underway behind the scenes to strengthen the squad, with the club identifying key areas to improve and lining up potential targets before the season has even wrapped up.

However, Leeds are also looking at opportunities to raise funds through player sales, and they are now preparing to finalise the departure of a key attacker in the summer.

Leeds plan negotiations with Valencia for Largie Ramazani

Largie Ramazani joined Valencia on loan from Leeds last summer. Daniel Fark later clarified that it was the winger who pushed for a return to Spain.

The Belgian has been a pivotal player since the turn of the year, and Valencia are interested in having him back at the club next season.

Ramazani has remained coy on his immediate future, but the Spanish club are keen to hold talks with Valencia over a deal to take him to the Mestalla.

According to Football Insider, Leeds are also prepared to sanction his exit as he has no future at Elland Road under Farke.

It has been claimed that Leeds are planning to hold fresh negotiations with Valencia over a deal for the winger’s Elland Road departure.

Leeds would prefer to sell him and recoup the £10m fee they paid to sign him in the summer of 2024. However, Valencia may push to work out one more loan deal.

He has no future at Leeds

Ramazani’s form in Spain could have left some to wonder whether he would be welcome back into the Leeds fold during pre-season next summer.

However, it makes sense for Leeds to want to sell him. Farke didn’t fancy him when Leeds were in the Championship and was ready to sanction his loan exit last summer.

The formation change last year means Leeds do not have a natural spot for Ramazani in the team, and are more likely to move on a few wingers such as Wilfried Gnonto in the next window.

Leeds would do well to recoup the fee they paid for the Belgian two years back and reinvest that into the squad rather than try to fit him back into the team.
