Leeds United fans will be keeping an eye on what happens in the summer window. Last season showed a lot of promise, and fans will want to see more ahead of next season.
So they will look to the ownership to provide the same sort of investment they did last summer.
Leeds signed 10 players combined for over £100 million, ensuring that Paraag Marathe’s promise to the fanbase was kept. At the end of this past season, Marathe touched on summer activity.
He mentioned that financial regulations could affect the club’s dealings, but the team will still invest in improving the squad.
Asking for more reinforcements has been something Daniel Farke has been vocal about since last summer. He repeatedly mentioned this when addressed about his future at Elland Road.
49ers could hand Leeds United huge opportunity
Leeds United will no doubt be looking to improve upon the squad heading into next season.
Most newly-promoted clubs struggle to stay up in their second season, mostly due to lack of improving the squad they survived with. This happened to Marcelo Bielsa’s side back in 2020.
Leeds were not active enough in the market, and the team continued to decline until they were eventually relegated in 2023.
Per Football Insider, the Whites are one of many clubs credited with an interest in Rangers star Bailey Rice. The 19-year old midfielder is out of contract this month, talks have already begun over a new deal.
The Scottish side are keen to keep him at the club, but interest from English clubs and other European teams is hard to ignore.
The report claims that Rangers and Bailey have made no progress towards a new deal, which could mean the young midfielder leaves this month. This will open the door for Leeds United to sign the player on a free transfer.

Bailey Rice is not for first team football
The teenager missed most of this season due to surgery, playing a total of just two games in all competitions. Leeds moving to sign him would be a move for the future.
He will most likely play with the U21s side before a decision is made on his suitability for the first team.
But as a market opportunity, it is an ideal move for the 49ers.
The club signed former Manchester City star Jayden Lienou last summer – a player who recently got called up for the Wales senior side. So getting talents is not a bad way to go.
