Club staring at desperate situation if Leeds United deal collapses

Leeds United have several decisions to make over the summer transfer window as they seek to refresh the squad through new signings.

However, the club also need player sales to boost their ability to bring in more quality signings as the Premier League’s new Squad Cost Ratio rules could hamper Leeds’ financial flexibility this summer.

Pascal Struijk and Wilfried Gnonto are among the clubs who are expected to be sold for a profit before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, Leeds also need to find solutions for certain players who have no future under Daniel Farke at Elland Road, and Largie Ramazani is one of the names who need to be moved on.

The Largie Ramazani deal is getting desperate for Valencia

Largie Ramazani spent last season on loan at Valencia, and the Spanish club are interested in taking him back to the Mestalla this summer.

Leeds are open to letting him go as the Belgian does not feature in Farke’s plans. However, the Whites are pushing to sell the winger in the upcoming transfer window.

Ramazani is understood to be keen on a return to the Mestalla, and Valencia have already stepped up their efforts to make it happen. Earlier this month, the Spanish club’s CEO travelled to England to hold talks over a potential deal.

However, there is some concern in Spain about what it might take to convince Leeds to sell. Valencia are wary of the Whites demanding too much money for the winger.

According to Sport, Ramazani is key to Valencia’s transfer plans this summer, and signing him is a major goal in the coming weeks.

The Leeds winger is seen as the top target, and failing to agree on a deal with Leeds would create significant problems for the Spanish club this summer.

Valencia will look for alternatives if they fail to sign him, but that will take time as the club are majorly banking on getting a deal done with Leeds.

Los Che hope that Leeds would either sign off on another loan deal or sell Ramazani for a price that is more amenable to Valencia.

Leeds need to sell him soon

Farke’s decision to switch systems midway through last season proved to be a turning point for Leeds, but it also left several natural wingers struggling to fit into the new shape.

As the tactical approach changed, players such as Gnonto and Daniel James saw their roles diminish, while Noah Okafor was adapted to play in a more central attacking position.

Ramazani, meanwhile, no longer appears to have a natural place in Farke’s plans. Leeds will be hoping Valencia’s interest develops into a deal that secures his permanent exit from Elland Road this summer.

Ideally, everyone involved would like clarity before pre-season begins. Neither Leeds nor the player will want a prolonged saga hanging over preparations for the new campaign.

The reality is that Farke never appeared completely sold on Ramazani, even during the club’s Championship campaign. Reports of concerns over his attitude during his time at Valencia are also unlikely to have helped his cause.

With pre-season now approaching fast, resolving Ramazani’s future is one issue Leeds would prefer to deal with sooner rather than later.
