Leeds United have already secured the signing of Harry Wilson on a free transfer and are closing in on a deal to bring Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic to Elland Road.

The Whites have ramped up their recruitment drive this month, with Muharemovic’s £34m move expected to be completed in the coming days.

Leeds are planning an ambitious end to the transfer window as they look to strengthen several areas of Daniel Farke’s squad with more new arrivals.

At the same time, the club are keeping a close eye on potential departures and the players they are willing to move on this summer. However, they have now set a key condition before agreeing to sell a star signing.

Leeds United set major condition to sell player

Lucas Perri’s future at Leeds is under the scanner. However, the club cannot afford to lose him just yet due to the current circumstances.

He was expected to be moved on this summer, but Karl Darlow’s decision to join Manchester United has forced Leeds to reconsider their plans.

Torino have identified him as their top target for the summer and are keen to bring him to Italy. However, they still have two hurdles to overcome in their negotiations with Leeds.

Daniel Farke has put any deal to move on Perri this summer on hold until the club can secure a goalkeeper before the end of the window.

Leeds are expected to advance on a deal to sign a goalkeeper in the coming weeks, but sources speaking exclusively to The Leeds Press suggest there is one more problem.

Torino have held talks with Leeds, and during negotiations, one key obstacle has emerged for Perri to move to Italy.

The Whites are insisting on the Italian club including a £10m obligation to buy in any deal to sign Perri on loan this summer.

His departure is likely to be delayed given Leeds’ need for a goalkeeper or two. However, Torino are also reluctant to include a buy option.

The two clubs are at an impasse, and it may take a while before any movement is made on this deal this summer.

Lucas Perri was seen as a major signing last year. However, he flattered to deceive and is now open to moving on from Elland Road after just one season.

Leeds need two goalkeepers for Lucas Perri to leave

Leeds United were already planning to sign a new goalkeeper before Karl Darlow turned down a new contract and opted to join Manchester United on a free transfer.

Lucas Perri had also been expected to leave this summer, but Darlow’s departure has complicated those plans.

Alex Cairns has yet to make a senior appearance since arriving at Elland Road and is viewed as no more than a third-choice option heading into the new season.

As things stand, Leeds need to replace Darlow and bring in another goalkeeper capable of filling the void left by Perri before sanctioning the Brazilian’s departure.

That means Perri’s future is unlikely to be resolved quickly, and if Leeds only manage to sign one goalkeeper before the window closes, he could yet remain at Elland Road.
