Leeds stretched their lead over the relegation zone to eight points on Saturday and now turn their attention to a midweek trip to Bournemouth.
The 3-0 victory against Wolves, coupled with Tottenham dropping points against Brighton later in the day, has left Leeds in a strong position to avoid the drop.
Daniel Farke has played down talk of survival and is urging his players to remain focused, but with only five games remaining, it would take a major collapse for Leeds to be relegated.
Next up is a difficult away fixture against an in-form Bournemouth side, where another positive result would move them significantly closer to Premier League safety. However, Jamie Carragher has predicted a few bumps for Leeds before the end of the season.
Jamie Carragher delivers final points prediction for Leeds United
Leeds may already be safe in the Premier League, but they are still expected to play a big role in deciding who could go down at the end of the season.
Jamie Carragher expects Leeds to have a tough time against Bournemouth away from home, but is confident that they will beat Burnley at home.
Leeds will travel to Tottenham next month, and Carragher conceded that, given their predicament, Spurs will have to find a way to win that game.
Carragher said on Sky Sports: “Bournemouth away is a tough game, Burnley at home is a game you would expect almost every team in the division to win.
“Look, it’s interesting when you look at Tottenham away.
“I just think for Tottenham, that’s a game that nothing else can happen but that they [Spurs] win that game no matter what.”
The former Liverpool star expects Leeds to beat Brighton, but lose on the final day of the season against West Ham at the London Stadium.
He is expecting the Whites to finish with a points haul of 45.
Leeds fans have a lot to look forward to
Farke is not ready to relax just yet. However, there is a palpable sense of excitement in the fanbase ahead of the end of the season.
Leeds fans are aware that one more win will almost certainly seal survival, if they have not already guaranteed it with the last two results.
They can actually look forward to the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday against a Chelsea side who are struggling with form and injuries at this stage of the season.
Leeds supporters will believe they can get the better of Chelsea again this season and progress to the FA Cup final at Wembley.
A season that threatened to implode in November could end with survival with games to spare and a cup final appearance at the end.
