Leeds United will face Brighton in their final home game of the season at Elland Road. The Whites have been on a great run since returning from the international break.

Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten in the league in their last six games, including huge results against Manchester United and Bournemouth. And now that Leeds have secured another season in the top flight, they will be looking to end their campaign on a high.

Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton side are in the race for a place in Europe and currently sit in 7th place in the league. They can secure their spot with a result this weekend and hope other games go their way.

But in order to do that, they will need to beat Leeds United at home. Elland Road has been a fortress for the Whites since their return to the top flight. And Hurzeler knows the challenge his team will face when they face this weekend’s opponents.

”I’m expecting a team that is difficult to beat. They haven’t lost in the Premier League since March, showing they are on a really good run. They have good individual quality and play with high intensity. They changed to a back five, making them a very compact but active team. It’s a special atmosphere playing in their stadium with the fans behind them. They achieved something really nice by staying in the league, so we expect a tough challenge. However, we are going there to play our style of football and try to dominate the game.” he said in Thursday’s press conference.

Brighton won the previous fixture 3-0 back in November, with Daniel Farke’s side being completely outplayed on the day.

Daniel Farke’s side continue to exceed expectations

On Monday night, many expected Leeds to take their foot off the gas ahead of the game against Spurs. But they competed very well and on another night, could have won the game.

Pep Guardiola even praised Daniel Farke’s side for remaining competitive at this point of the season. Most clubs in the league know their fate and have not been giving their full effort in recent weeks.

And heading into Saturday’s game, the Whites will be expected to be a tough opponent for Brighton. Leeds are in great form and will be hoping to wrap up their final game of the season with a great result in front of their home crowd.
