Leeds United produced a performance to remember on Monday night as they beat Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road under the lights.
Daniel Farke’s side put on a show for the home fans as they hammered Newcastle to move up to third in the Premier League table after four league games.
Three goals in the first half put the game to bed even before the break, and Leeds added a fourth at the hour mark before Newcastle scored a consolation goal in injury time.
Daniel Farke has never been universally popular with the Leeds supporters, but some fans are still finding reasons to aim at the manager. That appeared to push Jason Cundy over the edge on talkSPORT last night.

Jason Cundy hammers Leeds fans for Daniel Farke treatment
Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara were lavishing praise on Leeds and Daniel Farke live on talkSPORT’s Sport Bar show on Monday night after the win over Newcastle.
Chris, a Leeds fan, phoned in to moan about Farke’s defensive tactics and his treatment of certain players and refused to give him credit for the club’s progress in the last few years.
Cundy was not impressed and insisted that no one can deny that Leeds have moved forward under the manager regardless of what style of football his team plays.
He argued that some Leeds supporters are still struggling to accept that their calls for Farke to be sacked at the start of last season were misplaced, with the manager having since proven his doubters wrong.
Cundy responded to the Leeds fan and said: “They are third.
“Whether you like his style of football or not, whether you agree with some of the things he does or not, you need to take a step back and ask: has he moved us on?
“It wasn’t long ago when Leeds fans were phoning in this show, wanting Farke out at the beginning of last season.
“It feels like there is a little bit of a hangover from those fans. They wanted him out; he didn’t leave, and now he is proving them wrong.
“Some fans just want to moan, and he is one of them.”

Daniel Farke has proved his detractors wrong
There was a point last October and November when Leeds could easily have lost patience with Daniel Farke. Results were poor, performances were unconvincing, and relegation back to the Championship appeared a very real possibility.
Instead, the 49ers stuck with their manager. Farke responded by adjusting his approach, and Leeds produced a remarkable turnaround in the second half of the campaign to secure Premier League safety with room to spare.
The progress has continued this season. Leeds look more polished going forward while retaining the defensive resilience that helped them stay up last term.
Farke has now firmly established his credentials at Premier League level with Leeds, and his work is expected to earn him a new three-year contract in the near future.
