Wednesday has been a very eventful day for Leeds United. The club have discovered the latest on their pursuit of key targets, as one first team player left Elland Road.
Max Wober mutually agreed to part ways with the club this week.
He held medicals with German club Schalke, even when there was no initial agreement with Leeds. Now the defender can end his three-year stay at the club and leave as a free agent.
Reports also brought up the latest in the pursuit of Southampton star Shea Charles.
The Whites have had another bid rejected by the Championship side, who want a higher fee. Leeds will not be making another offer, and are prepared to walk away from the deal completely.
Latest on Leeds United pursuit of James Trafford
The club are on their way to the US for training camp and a few friendlies.
Leeds United released their traveling squad on Tuesday with some major absentees. But what caught the eye was that only two first team goalkeepers made the trip; Alex Cairns and Lucas Perri.
The 49ers are yet to resolve the goalkeeping problem in the summer window as the season draws closer.
Graham Smyth dropped a huge update last week, suggesting that Leeds have concrete interest in Manchester City keeper James Trafford. The club are willing to wait for him this summer, to see if a deal is possible.
According to The Chronicle newspaper print edition, City sources say no official approach has been made for the England star.
The report also adds that Trafford will have a price tag around £50million this summer.

What is the current situation with Leeds’ goalkeepers?
Both Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns will make the trip to the US, alongside goalkeepers from the youth sides.
Leeds are not planning on going into next season with just two first team keepers. The club are also not going to give Perri the chance to become number one despite Karl Darlow leaving.
The Brazilian is the subject of interest from Italian side Torino.
But the deal seems to have stalled, as Leeds have taken a lot of time trying to sort out a replacement. Reports suggest that Torino could move on and pursue another target.
Whatever business the 49ers do in the coming days, a goalkeeper should be at the top of their list.
