This weeks saw the official announcement that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta had signed a new deal. His first game following his new contract will be against Leeds United.
Daniel Farke’s side go away to the Emirates this weekend, and fans will have bad memories of their last visit.
Leeds were beaten by five goals last year at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta’s side then completed the double, putting four past the Whites at Elland Road.
Arsenal will be out for maximum points after losing to Brighton before the international break. They will be hoping to bounce back, but Leeds will not be an easy opponent.
The Whites remain unbeaten in the Premier League, and have lost just one league game on the road since February.

Daniel Farke addressed the media ahead of Leeds United facing Arsenal on Saturday.
With the news that his opponent this weekend had signed a new contract, it was obvious that he was going to be quizzed about his own future. When asked about a new contract, Farke had this to say.
”I have no news. Just compliments for Paraag – joy to work with him. Congrats to Mikel Arteta, what he has done is very impressive. I remember when he took over, they were struggling. The winning mentality he has implemented is very impressive.”
Reports have claimed that both Farke and Leeds have been in talks since the end of last season, but no agreement has been reached.

Daniel Farke’s journey is similar to Mikel Arteta’s
In some aspects, Farke has had a very similar career to Arteta.
The Spaniard took over Arsenal at their worst; they were constantly missing out on the league and Europe. Since then, Arteta has been able to build a team and a winning culture.
Years of competitiveness eventually lead to a Premier League trophy.
Farke has also been on a similar path, he was tasked with winning promotion when hired. He has since proven he is more than capable in the Premier League, getting incredible results with this Leeds side.
With enough support from the ownership and investment on the pitch, it will not be long before Leeds fans can dream of a trophy.
But the club must first tie down the man who has created the current culture around the club.
