Leeds United have two games left to end the Premier League season. They face Brighton this Saturday in their last home game of this campaign.

Daniel Farke’s side have been on an incredible run that helped them clinch survival in the top flight. The team have done so well since returning from the last international break, with great results against Bournemouth and Manchester United.

Leeds are coming into the game this weekend after picking a point away from home against Spurs. They have a tough task ahead of them as they face Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton side at this point of the season.

Leeds United star ruled major doubt for Brighton game

The Seagulls are eyeing a place in Europe, and a result at Elland Road could boost their chances significantly. Unfortunately for Hurzeler, his side will be without Kaoru Mitoma who is out for the season with an injury.

Leeds United have problems of their own heading into Saturday. Daniel Farke has confirmed that Ethan Ampadu is a doubt after struggling with illness this week: “A bit tricky, we can do this with a smile because we have achieved our goal but not ideal, Gruev out for the season, Okafor, Gudmundsson, Bogle not available, Struijk not training. Ampadu struggling with illness so a major a doubt so a few question marks but of course we want to finish as strongly as possible. We need our supporters to carry us a little bit.” he said in Friday’s press conference.

The club captain missing out will be a huge blow for Farke, who is already without Okafor, Gudmundsson, Bogle and Struijk going into the Brighton game.

Whites will still put up a fight at Elland Road

The Whites will be without up to six key first team players for Saturday’s game, but fans should not really be concerned. At Elland Road, this Leeds side are a much different team.

They should be backed to get a result, especially to give the fans something to cheer about on the final home game of the season. Leeds went away to Tottenham and denied them a result in their fight for survival.

And now they have a chance this weekend to halt Brighton’s push for Europe. The team want to do their best and finish as high as possible in their first season back in the top flight, and nothing will stop them.
