Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has said how eager he is to face Leeds United this weekend. The Whites will be hosting the Seagulls in their final home game of the season at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s men will be aiming to end their season on a high, with a result at home. Their last game at Elland Road saw them beat Burnley 3-1 in their battle for survival. But now the team has clinched safety ahead of next season.
Hurzeler is expecting a difficult game for his side, but their European aspirations will be a huge incentive.
”I’m expecting a team that is difficult to beat. They haven’t lost in the Premier League since March, showing they are on a really good run.” the Brighton boss said in Thursday’s press conference.
”They have good individual quality and play with high intensity. They changed to a back five, making them a very compact but active team. It’s a special atmosphere playing in their stadium with the fans behind them. They achieved something really nice by staying in the league, so we expect a tough challenge.”
talkSPORT hosts clash over Leeds United prediction ahead of Brighton game
Leeds United are unbeaten in their last seven games, and have won two of their last three home games. Brighton will also have some confidence going into Saturday; they have won three of their last five games on the road.
Ahead of the game, Rory Jennings and Andy Goldstein were debating who would win the game this weekend. They both had different predictions on what would happen in the game.
Roy Jennings: “I am going for a 1-1 draw.” he said on talkSPORT.
Andy Goldstein: “I am going for a home win; 2-1 Leeds.”
The last game between both sides ended in a 3-0 loss for Daniel Farke’s side at the AmEx Stadium.

Injuries will be a blow to Daniel Farke
Going into this weekend, the Whites are without six players, with another first team star also a doubt. Ethan Ampadu has been ill this season, with Daniel Farke saying he is a doubt for Saturday.
If he is missing in action, he will join Noah Okafor, Jayden Bogle, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ilia Gruev and Pascal Struijk. Facundo Buonanotte will also be ineligible to face his parent club on Saturday.
It will be a difficult task for Leeds this weekend, but even with absentees on Monday, they managed a draw against Tottenham away from home.
