Leeds United have a real chance to capitalise on Manchester United’s troubles and take all three points when the two sides meet at Elland Road.
Their unbeaten start to the Premier League season ended on Saturday when they lost to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. However, they remain comfortably in the top half of the table.
Daniel Farke’s side pushed the champions all the way at the weekend but were ultimately undone by Mikel Arteta’s greater squad depth.
Manchester United have made their worst league start in 40 years, and Michael Carrick is struggling to get his team going this season.

talkSPORT presenter fearing the worst for Man United at Leeds

Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein were discussing Manchester United’s woeful state and their upcoming run of fixtures on talkSPORT Drive on Monday.
The former Aston Villa striker lavished praise on Leeds and insisted that, against Arsenal, they showed how well-coached and physical Daniel Farke’s side can be against the top sides.
Andy Goldstein, also a Manchester United fan, said he is worried about any team Manchester United will face this season, given how shockingly bad they have looked.
Bent said: “I watched Leeds against my team, and they are such a good side.
“Well-coached, good energy and physical.”
Andy Goldstein replied: “I am worried about any team.”
Bent continued: “Atletico Madrid away is tough; Leeds away is tough.”
Goldstein continued to moan: “I thought we were better than what I saw. We are awful.”
Manchester United’s form is so woeful that the club is already being linked with sacking Carrick this early in the season.
Gary Neville has also revealed his worries about whether Manchester United’s players are mentally and physically ready for the test they face at Leeds on Sunday.

Leeds should win on Sunday

Leeds United could hardly have picked a better moment to welcome Manchester United to Elland Road. Their bitter rivals have struggled for consistency this season, dropping points from winning positions and looking far from convincing under Michael Carrick.
Daniel Farke’s side have every reason to fancy their chances, particularly with the home crowd behind them. They won at Old Trafford last season and were the better team in the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
Manchester United’s defensive problems and lack of confidence could give the Whites opportunities to exploit, but Leeds must be ruthless when those chances arrive. Nothing is guaranteed in a rivalry this fierce, yet the ingredients are there for a memorable home win.
