Leeds United eye move for Wolves star – Atletico Madrid also interested

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke is keen to add some firepower to the attack ahead of next season. The club’s depth this summer is not promising to look at.

Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph remain the only options at center forward. And out of the trio, it is very likely two of them could depart this summer.

It is a similar situation in attacking midfield; Brenden Aaronson played most of the minutes because he was the only option available. And if the club fail to recruit another player, he will remain the only option there.

QUIZ: Can you name the team Leeds United sold these players to?

The Whites are still looking for that one big attacking addition during this transfer window. So far, no deal has been completed, but a number of names have been mentioned in recent days. Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz has been linked with a move to Elland Road, but the London club have no urge to sell him this summer.

It looks like Leeds could benefit from Wolves’ recent sales. The Midlands club have sold Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait Nouri recently and could quickly move another player. According to ABC Sevilla, Leeds are keen on signing Fabio Silva from the Molineux.

Silva will return to Wolves this summer, with his future in the air. He has spent the past few seasons out on loan.

Atletico Madrid and Villarreal are also keeping an eye on the situation.

Fabio Silva does not fit the Premier League

Since he arrived at Wolves, Silva has barely played in England. The league looks too tough and difficult for him to play in. It is part of the reason why he has spent most of his career out on loan. His style does not really fit Premier League football.

Fabio Silva is more of a focal point that drops deep to link play rather than lead the line and create for others. Leeds need goals next season, and the Portuguese has just 14 goals in all competitions in the last two seasons. He really is not worth the money.
