Transfer activity at Leeds United has sprung into life over the past few weeks. There were some concerns from the fanbase that the club had not been acting fast in the window.
But just last week, it was confirmed that the Whites had reached an agreement with Harry Wilson.
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed this week that all the formalities had been sorted out, and that the Welsh international will be a Leeds player soon. He will sign a four-year deal to join Daniel Farke’s side.
The club gets a much needed playmaker in the first team who can contribute goals and assists.
The Whites are also set to lose defender Pascal Struijk, after verbally agreeing a deal with Brighton. The Premier League club are set to pay around £20 million to land the Dutch defender.
Struijk is believed to be open to a new challenge, and refused to sign a new deal this summer.
Leeds United suffer blow after update on transfer target
After it was confirmed that Leeds United were completing the deal for Harry Wilson, more updates emerged.
Club sources stated that the pursuit of Julian Brandt was real, and that the Whites were exploring options to sign him. The German midfielder will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of his contract this summer.
So far there has been no word of a deal on the table yet.
Per Mucho Deporte, Brandt’s father and agent, Jurgen, was spotted at Real Betis’ training center this week. It is believed that the player’s father was there to meet the La Liga side’s sporting director Manu Fajardo.
Sources close to Real Betis claim that Brandt’s father was there to offer the player to the Spanish club.
There was no word of an official deal or agreement taking place. Betis have lined up other targets including Dani Ceballos for this summer.

49ers may lose out if European clubs get involved
Leeds United have done well to attract the likes of Jaka Bijol and Gabriel Gudmundsson last season.
But Julian Brandt comes with more pedigree than the two players mentioned. He was at Dortmund for a long time, playing Champions League football and also being a regular for Germany.
If a club like Real Betis gets involved, they can offer him European football this season.
Leeds on the other hand, will be most likely in the battle at the bottom half of the Premier League. However, nothing has been ruled out and there is a chance that the club can land the attacking midfielder.
I aren’t holding my breath on this deal. It’s hugely unlikely. Hopefully Leeds go back in for Schmidt. He has looked great at the world cup
