Leeds United are slowly making strides in this summer window. The Whites have made it their aim to improve the team in all areas ahead of next season.

Daniel Farke needed £100 million in squad investments to be able to pull off a 14th-placed finish in the Premier League.

He will now have to do it all over again as the club have their eye on becoming a regular top flight team. And to do that, they have to sign quality players to give them a better chance at survival once again.

Leeds made Harry Wilson their first signing of the window as he joined on a free transfer.

Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic is the next move planned, after the club agreed a £34 million deal to sign the Bosnian.

Leeds United tipped to pull plug on major transfer

Shea Charles is believed to be the priority target for Leeds United this summer.

The Southampton man has been the subject of two bids already from the Whites, with talks still ongoing over his future. Charles has reported to pre-season with the Championship side.

Mick Brown of Football Insider believes that if the deal continues to drag on, Leeds might consider pulling the plug.

“It’s difficult for the club, because when you want a player, it’s hard to walk away from a deal and you can sometimes make excuses for overspending.” Brown said.

“But Leeds aren’t in a position to do that, they need the funds to spend elsewhere, so £20million would have been ideal, £23million fine, but £30million will be too much.

“I don’t think they’ll be prepared to go to that price, so they’re going to have to look elsewhere at other targets who are more within their price range.

“Maybe they could revisit Charles later in the window if his price tag drops, but it looks like Southampton are prepared to stand by their demands.”

Whites are already considering alternatives to Shea Charles

The deal for Shea Charles seems to be dragging on, but the 49ers seem to have alternatives lined up.

Per reports in Italy, AC Milan’s Yunus Musah is a player they have their eye on. The midfielder spent last season on loan at Atalanta, who decided to not trigger his buy option.

The USMNT star is set to be available this summer, but will only know his fate early in pre-season.

It is believed that new AC Milan boss Ruben Amorim wants to see the midfielder in pre-season to evaluate him. The Portuguese coach will then make a decision on the 23-year old’s future.
