Leeds United have several big decisions to make this summer as they look to improve and restructure the squad in the ongoing transfer window.
The Whites have already made several moves to improve their squad this summer, with the club looking to make midfield and attacking additions.
Leeds have offered a huge contract to Harry Wilson to convince him to join on a free transfer, and they are also in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt this summer.
The Whites are also closing in on a deal to sign Shea Charles. However, Leeds have a huge decision to make on the future of Pascal Struijk in the ongoing window.
Gary McAllister urges Leeds United to sell Pascal Struijk if he doesn’t sign a new deal
Pascal Struijk has a year left on his contract, and the defender is believed to be considering making a move away from Elland Road this summer.
Gary McAllister has insisted Leeds would want to hold on to him. However, he stressed that the club should definitely sell him if he doesn’t sign a new contract.
He believes Leeds cannot afford to let the Dutch defender run down his contract and leave on a free transfer at the end of next season.
McAllister was quoted as saying by Leeds Live: “I think they’ll offer him a new contract and try to keep him. Team stability is important. Plus, he’s a left-footed centre-back, which is rare. Lefties are hard to come by.
“But then it becomes difficult if a player is not looking to sign. I think you’ve got to gauge that. If he’s not showing that he wants to commit to Leeds United, then you’ve got to sell.
“Losing somebody for free at the end of a contract isn’t good planning. So I would imagine they’ll be looking to tie him into a contract soon.”
Leeds need a decision soon
If The Leeds Press think this is anything but the lowest form of speculation and conjecture journalism they disrespect the perceptive LUFC fanbase.
The Leeds Press do not seem to care about the quality, originality or content of their articles. They just seem intent on publishing poorly written offerings purely to meet advertising targets.
