Leeds United face West Ham on the final day of the season this weekend. Before the start of the season, the Whites were tipped to go down.

The game against the Hammers was billed to be one of the crucial runs in the club’s relegation battle. However, things have turned out much differently.

Leeds clinched safety weeks ago and have still remained competitive in the Premier League.

This Sunday, the club could decide who remains in the top flight. West Ham and Tottenham are separated by just two points going into this weekend.

The Hammers desperately need a result and for Spurs to lose in order to stay up this season.

Team news ahead of Premier League clash

Ahead of the games, Leeds United are dealing with a lot of injuries. The club are expected to have up to six players unavailable for the game at London Stadium.

Anton Stach is the latest to be ruled out, after the injury he picked up against Brighton.

Daniel Farke said that Pascal Struijk and Jayden Bogle could be available for this weekend’s game after they took part in training this week.

West Ham on the other hand, have an almost clean bill of health – Nuno said he has almost every player available. Adama Traore is currently their only doubt ahead of the game, as he picked up a knock.

Predicted Leeds United XI vs West Ham

One training session this week may not be enough for both Struijk and Bogle to make the lineup ahead of Sunday, so it is likely that they will be on the bench.

Struijk was replaced by Bornauw last time out, which means that the Belgian center back is in line to start against West Ham. Dan James will continue at right wing back, with James Justin continuing on the left flank.

Anton Stach’s injury means that someone has to come into the middle of the park. With limited options, Daniel Farke may push Brenden Aaronson into midfield. The American has played there this season.

Lukas Nmecha could come in up top to partner Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but Farke also hinted that Joel Piroe could come into the lineup. Piroe came off the bench against Brighton and had a decent cameo.

So it is likely to be a straight shootout between Nmecha and Piroe to see who starts against the Hammers.
