Major transfer breakthrough as Fabrizio Romano confirms medical for Leeds target

The midfield could also do with some additions considering how the team lacked creativity last year. And the attack sorely needs more options if Farke is to stand a chance next year.

Leeds United lose key target as medical confirmed

Center back is an area that most people outside Leeds United can predict will have some changes.

Pascal Struijk is yet to sign a new contract, and is 12 months into his current deal. Last year, the Whites rejected a huge bid for him, and this season he has attracted suitors.

Leeds can check off one potential replacement off the list if he leaves after Fabrizio Romano’s update.

Tromso center back Abubakar Sidi Kinteh has agreed to sign with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. Per the report, terms have been sealed and the player is set for a medical.

Journalist Rudy Galleti linked Leeds with the young defender recently.

Which other options are Leeds looking at?

The Whites also have their eye on other options this summer – the main target being Ousmane Diomande. Sporting CP’s star center back has attracted suitors all across Europe recently.

His price tag could scare off clubs, with Leeds said to be ready to offer a record fee.

South Korean center back Lee Han-Beom is also said to be on the 49ers’ radar. The club have admired him for a while, and his performance at the World Cup caught the eye.

Union Berlin defender Diogo Leite is set to be a free agent soon, and he looks like an appealing prospect also.
