Leeds United strengthened their squad again on Friday by completing a £34m move for Tarik Muharemovic, taking their tally to two signings this summer.

The Bosnia international has been brought in to replace Pascal Struijk after the Dutch defender’s move to Brighton, giving Daniel Farke another reliable option in central defence.

Leeds have also boosted their attacking ranks with the free signing of Harry Wilson, but their business is far from over. The club remain keen to add another centre-back and have drawn up a shortlist of defensive targets.

Away from Elland Road, there is also plenty for Leeds fans to keep an eye on. Several former Whites could be on the move before the transfer window closes, with one of them in line for a switch to a Champions League side.

Bid accepted for ex-Leeds United star

Former Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is expected to be one of the biggest names on the move before the transfer window closes, with interest from the Premier League, Serie A and the Saudi Pro League.

Manchester United have looked at the Dutchman as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford, but Roma have now emerged as the favourites to land his signature.

Summerville is understood to be keen on a move to the Italian capital, and Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are doing all they can to get a deal over the line.

Roma had two bids turned down by West Ham over the weekend, but negotiations continued as the Serie A club stepped up their efforts to reach an agreement with the Hammers.

And according to Claret & Hugh, West Ham have now accepted a bid from the Serie A giants for Summerville.

Roma’s latest £40m offer has done the trick, and now a basic agreement is in place for the Serie A giants to sign the Dutch winger.

The two clubs will now sort out the finer details of the deal before the move can progress in the coming hours.

Leeds fans won’t have to see Crysencio Summerville at Manchester United

Manchester United have been tracking Crysencio Summerville for much of the summer and have already spoken to his representatives about a possible move to Old Trafford.

However, their interest has always hinged on Marcus Rashford’s departure. After Barcelona decided against signing him permanently following his loan spell, United have been left trying to find a new destination for the England international before moving for a replacement.

That delay has allowed Roma to steal a march in the race. The Serie A side are now closing in on a deal for Summerville, who is believed to be eager to make the switch to the Italian capital, leaving Manchester United set to miss out.

Having already watched Karl Darlow complete a move to Old Trafford earlier this summer, Leeds supporters will be pleased that another well-liked former White is unlikely to end up in a Manchester United shirt.

Doesn’t seem like a lot of money that. I thought he might end up back at a Leeds with Gnonto and Piroe going through other way. Would have been a decent deal for both teams. Hope he does well in Roma but the league is definitely a step down in class these days
