Mikel Arteta has disclosed that Arsenal have some injury worries ahead of facing Leeds United. The Whites will be making the trip to the Emirates when league action resumes this weekend.

Daniel Farke gave his team news on Thursday including news that one player has been ruled out.

Dan James will not play against the Gunners on Saturday, as Joe Rodon is in rehab following a hamstring injury. Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Harry Wilson could be subject to late fitness tests to see if they make the squad for the game.

Outside that, the Leeds boss is expected to have the full compliment of his squad available.

The Whites are unbeaten in the Premier League and stand every chance of getting a result at the Emirates.

In contrast to Daniel Farke, Mikel Arteta has a few worries ahead of Saturday’s game.

The Arsenal boss has said that Declan Rice could be available: “Yeah, we have to manage him because he’s had a few issues since he came back from the World Cup. Hopefully tomorrow he’s available and some others also are in doubt.”

Arteta confirmed that Christos Tzolis is out for the Leeds game, and that Ezri Konsa and Kai Haverts are doubts.

“With Kai as he had a muscular injury, I spoke to Germany and they sent the player back as normal, Ezri we had good communication with the England camp.

“Tzolis has a muscle injury as he’s going to be out for a few weeks.”

“Max is available. Kai and Ezri we will see tomorrow.”

Do Leeds stand a chance this weekend?

No one really expected Brighton to beat Arsenal before the international break. And it is that fighting spirit that the Leeds players and fans should have ahead of their visit to the Emirates.

If the team go there remembering what happened last year, the might very well easily lose again.

Leeds have every chance of getting a result if they can play to the level everyone expects. They were able to hold their own against Brighton and Brentford too.

Saturday will be an interesting game, but fans should not rule out the Whites coming away with a result. Daniel Farke’s side have something about them this season as compared to last year.
