Leeds United moved another step closer to securing their Premier League status with a comfortable 3-0 win over Wolves at Elland Road.
Coming off the back of their victory against Manchester United, they knew a win here would put them in a commanding position, and they delivered.
James Justin spectacularly opened the scoring with a bicycle kick in the 18th minute, and just two minutes later, Noah Okafor doubled the lead with a calm finish from Brenden Aaronson’s cross.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fouled inside the box in stoppage time and the Leeds striker converted from the spot to add more glamour to the scoreline.
But referee Tim Robinson’s decision to award Leeds a penalty in injury time has not gone down well with everyone.

Wolves defender Hugo Bueno pleaded his innocence with the referee after he fouled Calvert-Lewin inside the penalty box during stoppage time.
However, Tim Robinson was having none of it, and he was quick to signal a penalty, which Calvert-Lewin converted to make it 3-0 in Leeds’ favour.
The decision was checked by VAR as well, and they found no obvious error from the on-field referee, which would have resulted in overturning decision.
An update on X from the Premier League read: “The referee’s call of a penalty and a yellow card to Hugo Bueno was checked and confirmed by VAR, with it deemed that he tripped Calvert-Lewin as he attempted to play the ball.”
Wolves boss Rob Edwards moaned about the decision after the game and insisted that the referee should not have pointed to the spot for the foul.
However, the VAR confirmed the on-field referee’s decision, and it helped Leeds to add more sheen to the scoreline at Elland Road.
Leeds fans can now simply sit back and enjoy the rest of the season
With Premier League safety virtually secured, Leeds and their fans can finally enjoy the run-in, and there’s still plenty to play for.
They’ve got home games against Burnley and Brighton on the horizon, plus trips to Bournemouth and Tottenham, before wrapping up the season away at West Ham.
Focus will now shift to Wembley, where Leeds face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final later this month, a huge occasion they can really throw themselves into.
Staying up while also having a shot at an FA Cup final is more than enough to get the Leeds fans excited.
