Leeds United earned promotion to the Premier League last season, but the squad that got them back up in 2020 will forever remain etched in their history. A member of that team is now back at Elland Road.
The Whites finally returned to the Premier League in 2020 after more than 15 years away, sparking joy among fans who felt their club was back where it truly belonged.
Leeds’ promotion in 2020 sealed Marcelo Bielsa’s cult status, and the squad of players who got them back will forever remain some of the most important players to feature in a Leeds shirt.
Captain Liam Cooper led that side, but that team had some stellar players who will go down as Leeds legends, and one of those stars is now back at Elland Road in an official role for the club.
Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?

Leeds United confirmed Stuart Dallas’ return

Stuart Dallas was one of the most important players in the team that got promoted to the Premier League, and he remained pivotal in the top flight as well.
His last couple of years at Leeds were marred by injuries, and he finally hung up his boots last year. However, the winger will go down as a legend at Elland Road.
The former Northern Ireland international featured 267 times for Leeds, including 72 appearances in the Premier League, where he scored nine times.
A winger by trade, Dallas played as a midfielder and a full-back under Bielsa, who was a huge admirer of the player and made him one of the key players of his squad.
