Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has confirmed that a key player could be sidelined for around two weeks after suffering an injury during the 1-1 draw with Brentford.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin rescued a point for Leeds with a 79th-minute equaliser, ensuring they avoided defeat in their first Premier League home game of the season as the match ended 1-1.
Leeds improved significantly after the break following a disappointing first-half display, with Farke’s changes at half-time helping his side fight their way back into the game.
However, the result has come at a cost, with Leeds now facing a significant injury concern. One of their key players has picked up an injury that could keep him out for the next couple of weeks at least.

Daniel Farke confirms major injury
Joe Rodon had to limp off after 33 minutes at Elland Road today due to an injury, and Daniel Farke confirmed that he has sustained a hamstring issue.
The Leeds boss is hoping that the Welsh defender is not out for too long as he conceded that there is a lack of depth in his centre-back options this season.
He insisted that he is extremely lucky Leeds signed a player of Nico Elvedi’s quality who could replace Rodon in the team in the coming weeks without too much of a problem.
The Leeds boss said after the game: “Rodon hamstring injury.
“We have to assess him. Hopefully he’s not out too long.
“We do not have many senior centre-back options. Thank God we have Nico Elvedi.”

Nico Elvedi will be huge now
Leeds chased Nico Elvedi all summer before finally securing him on a permanent deal just before the start of the Premier League season.
The Swiss defender showed his class in the 2-0 EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest as he handled a striker of Chris Wood’s quality with some comfort.
With Rodon now expected to be out for at least a few weeks, Elvedi is now likely to start in Leeds’ Premier League game against Brighton away from home on Saturday.
The 29-year-old’s experience will come in handy as Leeds prepare for a tricky run of games without the possibility of not having Rodon in the team.
