Leeds United fans were excited as they learnt the latest on key transfers this week. The club is actively pushing to sign some players as the club prepare for next season.
The first team players and Daniel Farke are currently in the US for a training camp, and will play Wrexham in their first friendly on Sunday.
Two players have officially been signed so far; Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic.
But Leeds are keen to add a few in the coming days. The Whites learned their stance on key targets over the last week. Julian Brandt has been given an offer, as the club waits on the free agent’s decision.
Leeds are also in talks with James Trafford over a move, with talks having intensified since Friday.
Southampton boss breaks silence on Shea Charles
Moves for Trafford and Brandt seem to be on track, but one deal that has stalled is Shea Charles.
Per Graham Smyth, Leeds United have made a third bid, which was rejected by the Saints. The Whites are adamant that they will not go beyond their third bid, which is on the table if Southampton want to revisit.
Saints boss Tonda Eckert has spoken on Shea Charles, as the club continue preparations in Germany.
“On the back of the season that he’s played, I think it’s more than clear that there’s interest. I’m happy to have him around at the very moment.” he said speaking to the Daily Echo.
“He’s been excellent from the first day he came back. I think he’s shown that he’s on a good level to perform and I think the rest is for the club to sort.”
Charles does have interest from other Premier League clubs, with Fulham and Crystal Palace monitoring the situation.

49ers must maintain their stance
Southampton have been playing hardball with Shea Charles’ fee all summer.
Leeds made the right decision by making their final bid and walking away. The Saints can revisit the offer later in the transfer window, which seems likely given the current situation.
Charles is out of contract in the summer of 2027, and could leave for free.
The player is reportedly open to a move to Elland Road this summer. There has been no news of the Saints giving the midfielder a new contract, and Charles can negotiate with foreign clubs if he has not signed a new deal in January.
Late in the window, if the midfielder has still not penned a new deal, the Saints will be forced to sell. The 49ers must keep their stance going forward.
