The season is yet to end, and Leeds United now have some control of their fate in the Premier League. The Whites recorded a huge win at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The win sees the club go six points clear of the relegation zone. Daniel Farke’s men looked impressive, beating Michael Carrick’s side in a dominant first half display. At the end of the game, the team and the Farke earned a lot of plaudits from fans and pundits alike.
Leeds now have a chance to move clear of the bottom three as they face Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend. Rob Edwards’ side lost 4-0 to West Ham last week, which will no doubt inspire confidence in the home fans ahead of the game.
Spurs eye shock move for Leeds United star
Leeds United have seven games to save their season, and secure another year in the top flight. The ownership have plans and ambition beyond this season, which will depend on what happens in the coming months. This week has seen rumours emerge about Ao Tanaka potentially leaving the club. German and English sides are keen on a move for the playmaker who has been out of favour in the last few months.
The Telegraph are now reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow. The Welshman has been outstanding this season, especially since taking over as number one from Lucas Perri. Daniel Farke made that decision earlier this year and it paid off. And now Spurs are eyeing the 35-year old on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.

49ers cannot afford to lose Karl Darlow
Initially signed as a backup goalkeeper for Illan Meslier, Darlow has found himself thrust into the number one position at the club over the last year. He took over in the final games in the Championship last year, and has done same in this campaign. The 35-year old’s importance to the club has significantly increased over the last year.
This summer, the 49ers have a decision to make. Karl Darlow has proved he can still compete at Premier League level and will no doubt draw more suitors as a free agent this summer. But the goalkeeper could also save Leeds a lot of money if they renew him instead of finding a new goalkeeper. This week has seen James Trafford and Carl Rushworth linked with a move to Elland Road, with both set to command fees in excess of £20 million.
