Things are looking up for Leeds United over the past week. Getting a huge result away at Old Trafford was a huge boost this week as the Whites went six points clear of the relegation zone.
Spurs are now in the bottom three after losing last weekend, while Nottingham Forest and West Ham got points on the board. Unfortunately for Forest, they got some problems midweek. They managed to progress to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League, but Murillo and Chris Wood picked up injuries. Vitor Pereira’s side now have other commitments to focus on in this relegation battle.
Chris Sutton gives verdict on Leeds United vs Wolves clash
This weekend sees Leeds United host Wolves at Elland Road. Many are expecting the Whites to win that game, considering West Ham beat Rob Edwards’ side 4-0 just last week. This game will be a crucial one, as Daniel Farke’s men could potentially go nine points clear of the bottom three if they win and results go their way.
Former Chelsea man Chris Sutton has predicted a close game when both sides meet on Saturday.
”Let’s get it right, Leeds could have beaten Manchester United by a much bigger margin than 2-1 on Monday night. I had Dominic Calvert-Lewin in my Fantasy team and he should have scored a couple, while it took a brilliant goal line tackle from Lisandro Martinez to deny Ao Tanaka.”
”Wolves were competitive against West Ham, at least until they conceded anyway, but I can’t see past another Leeds win here. There is a nice balance to Daniel Farke’s side.”
”This one might be a little bit nervy but I think they will get over the line. If they do, they will be on 39 points which should be enough to keep them up.”

Complacency should not be an issue for Farke’s men
Leeds United must treat this weekend’s game as must-win. They cannot afford to drop points, considering their upcoming schedule. Getting six points from two games will go a long way as they fight to beat the drop. The win at Old Trafford will give the team a lot of confidence, but now they must avoid complacency. Daniel Farke has already spoken and said that his side need to focus on the game. Hopefully the club gets back to winning ways at home after failing to win their last three matches at Elland Road.
