West Ham had their season come crashing down to an end on the final day of the Premier League. They hosted Leeds United knowing their chances of survival were very slim.

The Hammers have had a very interesting season; they began with Graham Potter who was sacked after just seven games. The former Chelsea boss won just one game in charge before he was given the boot.

Nuno Espirito Santo came in around September and was tasked to keep the team afloat.

The former Nottingham Forest boss did his best, as the Hammers picked up promising results in the final months of the season.

He managed to pick up 12 wins in his 37 games in charge of the London club. That includes the 3-0 win on the final day of the season at the London stadium.

They ran out 3-0 winners against Leeds United, but the result was not enough to keep the team afloat, as Spurs won their game on Sunday.

West Ham to make huge managerial decision

Nuno’s side beat the visitors comfortably, with goals from Bowen, Callum Wilson and Castellanos. Leeds were beaten by a side who were just more hungry to win the game.

However the Hammers were still relegated. Former Whites star Crysencio Summerville will be back in the Championship next season, unless he manages to leave the London club.

News from The Athletic has emerged on Monday afternoon, over the future of Nuno Espirito Santo. According to the report, West Ham will hold a meeting to decide the 52-year old’s future among other things.

Sources believe that Nuno will be sacked after failing to keep the team in the Premier League.

Leeds have a decision of their own to make

Going into this summer, Leeds United also have a huge managerial decision to make. Getting to the end of the season, Daniel Farke agreed to delay any contract talks.

He currently has just one year left on his deal, and in recent weeks he has said he wants to stay.

However, Farke has made it clear that the team need to match his amition, especially his expectations for a good summer transfer window heading into next season.

So if the 49ers know that the German coach is the man to lead the team, they need to do the right thing and give him that contract extension.
