Leeds United are working towards securing a couple more deals before the end of the summer transfer window. The club have spent money this summer to bolster their squad, but Daniel Farke wants to add more quality before the September 1st transfer deadline.
The Yorkshire giants have signed 10 new faces this summer, and their transfer spending has breached the £100m mark. James Justin became the 10th new signing of the window for Leeds on Monday when he completed a move worth £10m from Leicester City.
His ability to play in both full-back positions and as a centre-back will come in handy for Leeds as they seek more depth and quality in multiple positions to ensure that they can survive in the Premier League this season.
Leeds have also been linked with a loan move for Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, but the club are expected to focus on adding forwards to their squad in the remaining days of the transfer window.

Jeff Stelling feels Leeds United have failed to add some excitement to their squad

Reacting to Justin’s arrival, Jeff Stelling indicated that he has been underwhelmed by the kind of players Leeds have brought in this summer to bolster their squad.
He stressed that fans of promoted teams are always on the lookout for a marquee player who could bring excitement to the team in the Premier League.
The pundit stressed that Leeds have signed a lot of okay performers without adding a player who could have amped up the excitement levels at Elland Road.
“I’m not having a go at Justin. What I think Leeds desperately need is a marquee signing. They’ve brought in a lot of players in for £7m, £8m, £9m, £10m”, Stelling said on talkSPORT.
“They need a signing like Jack Grealish, somebody who the fans can get excited about.
“However well James Justin does, fans cannot get excited about signing a full-back.”
The two attackers Leeds want could bring that excitement
The Whites have signed two strikers and a winger this summer to bolster their attacking options, but all three players have questionable fitness.
Farke wants to bring in two more attackers to feel safe about his options in the final third, and Leeds are looking at a number of options.
The Leeds manager wants to sign a striker, and a winger who can also play behind the forward as a number 10 for tactical flexibility.
It is unclear whether Leeds have the money to fund moves for two attackers, but the club are clearing up space in the squad by loaning out Largie Ramazani to Valencia.
