Leeds United were forced to cash in on Pascal Struijk after it became clear the defender had no intention of signing a new contract. Attention has now turned to moving on several other players who are no longer part of Daniel Farke’s long-term plans.
The Whites have already acknowledged that this summer is likely to see more departures than last year as they look to stay in line with the Premier League’s financial regulations.
Struijk’s sale before the end of June helped balance the books, while Leeds are also prepared to listen to offers for Wilfried Gnonto after the winger slipped down the pecking order last season.
Now, one key decision made by Farke this week has all but confirmed that another Leeds forward is set to leave Elland Road before the transfer window closes.

Daniel Farke’s decision seals Leeds attacker’s fate
Leeds have unveiled their pre-season travelling squad for the tour of the United States, and there are a few names in there who may not have a future at Elland Road.
However, Farke’s decision to leave out a few names more or less made it certain that they will be leaving Elland Road before the end of the transfer window.
Largie Ramazani was one of the players who is still on Leeds’ books, but will not be travelling with the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
He is not part of Farke’s plans following his return from his loan stint at Valencia, and the manager’s decision has sealed his impending exit.
The Spanish club want him back, but they are not prepared to match Leeds’ asking price. Valencia are waiting for the Whites to lower their demands.
The Leeds boss made a similar decision last summer when he left out Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph from his pre-season squad.
Joseph left on loan to join Real Mallorca, and Leeds paid off Bamford to leave before the end of the transfer window as a free agent.
Ramazani not being in the pre-season squad suggests that there is no way back for him at Elland Road.
Max Wober, Jack Harrison and Joe Gelhardt were also left out and are set to leave Leeds this summer.

Daniel Farke’s switch in formation midway through last season transformed Leeds United’s campaign, but it also left a number of attacking players on the fringes.
The move away from a system built around out-and-out wingers meant opportunities became harder to come by for players such as Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James, while Noah Okafor was increasingly deployed through the middle.
That competition is only set to increase this season. Harry Wilson’s arrival has pushed Largie Ramazani even further down the pecking order, making him even more surplus to requirements at Elland Road.
A summer exit now feels like the best outcome for all parties. Leeds can trim a squad that has become overcrowded in the attacking areas, while Ramazani would have a far better chance of playing regularly elsewhere rather than spending another season on the fringes.
There has also been a growing sense for some time that Farke was never fully convinced by the Belgian, even during Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign.
With that in mind, it would suit everyone if Leeds could find a buyer quickly and allow Ramazani to move on before the transfer window closes.
